Upcycling with PaperArtsy

I've got a post over on the PaperArtsy blog tonight featuring a piece of jewellry made from an old belt buckle:


While I had this stamp set out, I also made a brooch from shrink plastic:



 I die cut the shrink and stamped it with StazOn and then put it in the oven to do its stuff - I much prefer using the oven as it doesn't blow away or stick to itself. The quote is from Hot Pick 1604:


Then I flipped it over and coloured the reverse side with alcohol ink pens:


Then I varnished it and cut a piece of white card for the back:


I layered it onto felt and embellished with beads:


There we go - very easy to make!

This is fantastic Helen! It's so colourful and the felt adds a softness that is perfect! Really want to make one!
