Green trees....

I thought I'd post pics of  this little canvas I made before all the leaves start turning brown.
It uses stamps from Artistic Outpost, in this case the 'Serenity' plate:

lots of stencilling, some PaperArtsy Fresco Finish London Night tinted Grunge Paste for the tree which I then coloured with pencils to give a 'barky' look (or should that be 'barking'!!!):

and some extra leaves on top!

You can get Artistic Outpost stamps from That's Crafty here in the UK. They've got a great range of images and are well worth the money.

Thanks for looking!

Fantastic Fabric

Fabric and stamping is definitely in!
I was inspired by Lin Brown's use of fabric and then a friend, Suzanne, had some fabric odds and ends up for grabs so I thought it must be fate - I'd have to have a go!
I've used Flower Market, one of the new Artistic Outpost plates available from Happy Daze, for the images, plus various quotes from other plates, and I was amazed at how clearly the fabric stamped. I've painted the images with watered down acrylic paints (not too wet or they soak outwards into the material). Then I've stitched and embellished to my heart's content!
Here's the central image, which I've stamped in black StazOn and then done the background in Victorian Velvet:

Look how sharp the tiny text is:

Sorry, realised after this has got a thread over it!

Even stamping on the brown linen, which is quite an open weave, has worked:

And finally, the whole project:

Now I've got to frame it!

Diesel Punk

Love that phrase - it's the name of the new Artistic Outpost stamps that I used for these two tags, which I made for the Happy Daze DT:

New Artistic Outpost

Some new Artistic Outpost stamps have reached Happy Daze!
The first sample I've made is a grungy sort of mug made with the London Elements plate which ties in with the London Underground plate that's already out.

I've used StazOn inkpads and stamped directly on the mug - a bit tricky, but worth it!

The Great Gatsby...

Here are another two cards I made using Gatsby plate from Artistic Stamper.
This first one uses the same face as in the previous post:

It's done on a Kaleidacolor background and ended up using colours of card I hadn't planned on!
This second one is again on a similar background and uses some handmade paper which, despite having loads of, I haven't used for ages!

So, both slightly unexpected outcomes!

All stamps available from Happy Daze.

Windows to your Soul...

Here's a card I made using the lamppost scene from the Artistic Outpost Windows and Doors set. I've used glossy cardstock and dye inks to create the bright background. The flourishy bits on the side are from the Serenity set. I stamped and embossed in white and then coloured over the white embossing with StazOn inkpads:

All stamps available from Happy Daze.

Jane again!

Here are the other two projects I made with the Artistic Outpost Jane's Countryside stamps from Happy Daze. The first is a picture:

As you can see, I had a lot of fun teaming it up with the floral Pink Paislee Sweetness papers.

For the second project, I made a brooch:

Jane's embroidery

If you saw my WOYWW entry with the Jane Austen stamps, this post shows one of the projects I made. Here's a close-up of Jane:

And here's the full view:

I was searching for something to use and found this old embroidery hoop which seemed very apt!

The stamps are Artistic Outpost Jane's Countryside and are available from Happy Daze. I've teamed them up with the Pink Paislee Sweetness papers (also from Happy Daze) which have those lovely floral corners that you can cut round and overlap. I thought I'd better add in some (very basic) embroidery as well!!

A Lovely Day...

No, that's not the weather (although it's actually quite sunny here today, but still cold) but the name of one of the new stamp plates from Artistic Outpost which you can buy here in the UK from Happy Daze.

I love these stamps as they remind me of my childhood, although I was never very good on a bicycle (a bit of a liability actually!)

Anyway here's a card that I made using these stamps and two of the new Distress ink colours, Wild Honey and Barn Door:

Keep an eye on the Happy Daze blog as more samples will be going up soon.

A Quick Card

This is just a quick card using the tiny square stamp from the Outpost set by Artistic Outpost:
I was playing around with the metal again and made the tiny square in the middle, then had to make something with it! This is what I came up with.
I even used the tiny Artistic Outpost label stamp round the edges - why waste it?
Artistic Outpost stamps are available from Happy Daze.
