It's Christmas!

Yes, you won't believe it, it's Christmas over on the PaperArtsy Blog this evening. The theme was Baubles and Bling and I went for it in a big way! Not traditional Christmas colours though (well, not for me).

Lion taming...!

This project was done on one of the MDF rounds. I didn't give it a coat of gesso but went straight in with the stencilling - liked it on the brown background.

The border round the edge is made by using the small pattern stamps:

 I traced the round onto card and stamped them over the edges and cut the whole thing out.

The lion's head is built up to give dimension.

Nesting box...

 Thought I'd show you the nesting box I made for last week's That's Crafty! shows.

I'm actually using a small MDF Chunky, but I die cut a hole out of the middle before putting it together.

I've used texture paste to create the wood effect and then embossed a piece of card for the roof.

The text on the base is from one of Lynne's sets.
