Purple and Blue...

This card uses the same Artemio stamps as before, but in a different colourway. Close up the birds look like this:

I've used bleach to take out colour on the egg and nest.
Then I've layered it up onto lovely colourwashed Scrapperdashery paper and used an Art Journey stamp to create a border:

Birds' Nest card, not soup!

I saw these Artemio stamps and couldn't resist them (I have very low resistance levels!) I think what really appealed to me was that although the nest is obviously drawn, the egg looks almost real! I've added the leaves to finish off the main image:

Once again I got out my Silhouette and cut out these lovely flourishes and you can just see on the dark blue paper that I've used the long straight twigs to complete the frame.

Arty Collage...

When I went to the local Stitches show in Brighton the other week, I came across these collage stamps that I'd never seen before. They're called Clear-2-Collage and are manufactured by Butterfly Kisses. I chose this set and overstamped the main image onto some card sprayed with Crafty Notions Creative Colour Sprays - love those, they're really bright:

Then I painted some areas with bleach to take colour out and inked and colour- pencilled some areas back in! I layered it up onto patterned paper and bound it with the Bind-it-All:

After that I felt it needed just a little something (you know me!) so I cut out a zany border on my Silhouette (told you I was going to use it more often!), added buttons and hey presto, here we are:

Amour...

As Valentines Day is fast approaching I thought I'd better make something for the other half and decided to dig out my Silhouette machine.
I've had this for ages but hardly ever use it, so have decided to give it a go. They now do tutorials and stuff on their blog which is great as I'm awful about reading instructions - I usually just dive in and experiment!
I love flourishes and text so combined the two. Then I went round the edge with a StazOn inkpad, didn't like that so decided to add stamping as well! I've used the edges of the big letter on the top script on this Elusive Images plate. I added some Basic Grey pearls, et voila....!
