Fading Summer....

My last offering for the Crafty Individuals Challenge is one of their tags that I've decorated with some left over TAP pieces, stamped in brown round the edges and embellished with some brown florists' twine in all its lovely bendability!

If you haven't done so already, you've just got time to enter, or, if not that, do head on over and see what other people have made.

Last Days of Summer, Back to School...

Last days of Summer, the Crafty Individuals challenge, always means back to school for me, so I've made a little blackboard creation using the little girl from CI-277:

I have to say, this was a lot of fun to make. That ruler paper is from one of the first 6x6 scrapbook pads I ever bought! Knew it'd come in useful!!!

A TAP end of summer...

Here's another idea for the Crafty Individuals challenge this month, ' the Last Days of Summer'.
It's a card again and I've used a TAP image of the bird cage and leaves and teamed it up with some MME paper, which was exactly the right colour:

I decided to make all the edges and card brown to tie in with Autumn fast approaching!

Bright and Beautiful...

Here's a tag I made using oil pastels and some of the new Lynne Perrella stamps, available from the Craft Barn. I layered the pastels on thick and then scratched back into them with a Stampbord tool. The main stamp was the background crowns one, but I didn't add a  focal image over the top as I liked the etching!

Crafty Individuals September Challenge

The theme for the challenge this time is 'Last Days of Summer' and to make it especially enticing, Jean and Malcolm are offering everyone who enters a special 25% off discount code to use for the whole of September!!! As they've got lots of gorgeous new products out, you need to get entering!

The first thing I made was a card with the sun going down over the beach - the end of those long summer days:

I've used the two Beach Crafty Elements sets CI-272 and CI-278. The Beach banner is from CI-284 and the little boy is from CI-277.

Lynne Perrella again...

Here's a tag that I made using the 014 set. I've used the small stamp of the eyes coloured with alcohol ink pens.  Then I raided my scrap drawer and built up layers to make a tag and used the crown background to pull it all together. I threaded some covered florists' wire through the top - this is wonderful stuff as it holds its shape yet looks like string:
