Tu whit, tu whoo again!

Note: due to technical issues this post will now go up on Thurs 1st August over on the PaperArtsy blog! Sorry about that!

If that's how you spell it?!
This is a box canvas that I've made for PaperArtsy  - if you want to see how it was created, hop on over to their blog.

Thanks for looking!

Wise Old Owl...

I've at last managed to finish this little canvas which I started ages ago when I was working with the Pebeo glass paints for various projects. As so often happens, things get put to one side and then I find them again! (If I'm lucky!!!)
This owl is from the PaperArtsy Vintage Collection ID02. Love these vintage stamps - some of your favourite Ink and the Dog images made bigger - what more could you ask for?

                                                            ID02-EZmounted

I've stamped and painted him onto acetate:

and then overlaid him onto a glass painted background canvas (just blobbed on and dabbed around):

It took me longer to work out where to put the leaves (Sizzix Sizzlits dies) than anything else - ha! ha!

Sailing away...

Here's the card I made for my son's birthday using a Crafty Individuals stamp CI-295, Dylusions sprays, bleach and embossing folders:

The big swirly bit which is meant to look like waves is actually a Darice border embossing folder - they give a really good, deep impression which you can then swipe with Treasure Gold.

Fantastic Fabric....

I'm demoing tomorrow up at the Craft Barn and this time I'm working with DecoArt So Soft fabric paints and the Ink Effects Transfer paint along with Kaisercraft stamps.
The So Soft comes in a fantastic range of colours and paints on beautifully. Here I've been experimenting on different fabrics, plain and patterned:

And here are a couple of cards:

The Ink effects paint is fascinating: you paint a design onto copy paper and then iron onto fabric. Of course I wanted to see how to use stamps, stencils, lettering etc. Here's one example of a simple leaf design transferred onto calico:

For the rest of what I'm up to, come along tomorrow between 10.00 and 4.00!
