One for the Boys....

Here I've made a door plaque out of a bisque tile, Distress Reinkers and Markers and PaperArtsy Hot Pick stamps. The colours lighten after you apply them as the bisque just soaks it all up, but it gives a kind of vintage, faded look!

You can see this in the flesh, so to speak, this Saturday at the Craft Barn, where I'll be demoing my little socks off, along with several others!

Craft Barn Class

I had a lovely class at the Craft Barn yesterday - we were making cards with some of the PaperArtsy sewing stamps, oil pastels and Dylusions sprays.
Here are some pics of everyone's work at various stages:

 Note those inky fingers!

I hope I got a pic of everyone's there - many apologies if I've missed anyone out. Mind you, I usually forget my camera altogether, so I'm just pleased I got some photos!
Many thanks everyone for making it so enjoyable.

PS Penny - the mount board didn't work too well - I'll have to keep on trying!

Stampbord charm

Here's another charm that I made for the Demo Day on November 3rd:

It uses small Stampbord tiles that are joined together. The stamp is part of the collage from PaperArtsy Hot Picks 1007

Demo Day

Yes, there's a Demo Day coming up at the Craft Barn on Saturday 3rd November, where we're all going to be making gifts to give for Christmas.
For mine, I've been working with PaperArtsy stamps, Distress Reinkers and Markers and I've had lovely inky fingers!
Here's one of the first things I've made which is a bag charm from Stampbord - you know how I love that stuff!:

This one uses part of the Sanctuary collage from Hot Picks 1006 with Distress Reinkers rubbed on. (Oh, and lots of twiddly bits!)

If you can come along then do, as it promises to be a fun day.

It's Autumn....

Over on the Craft Barn blog it's Crafty Individuals week, particularly looking at their new dies and masks, which are gorgeous.
I've made a card using one of the new masks - Victoria and Albert - which I've used as an embossing folder on some Coredinations cardstock. I've then sanded the embossed areas and edged them in pencils to make them 'pop'. On the corners I've inked over the mask with an inkpad.
The stamp in the middle is one of my favourites (love those filmstrip edges) - I've stamped it on glossy card and added white highlights:

Hop on over to their blog to see step by step photos and also to see what else is on there this week.

Hallowe'en...

It's Hallowe'en week over at the Craft Barn blog and I've made a sort of witchy tag using Lynne Perrella stamps and Faber-Castell oil pastels:

If you want to see the whole thing and how it's made, pop over to their blog.
If you want to have a go with the oil pastels and learn some techniques, I've got a class on Saturday 27 October that does just that!
