Nature's Beauty number 2!

For this project I was thinking of the tulip fields in Holland, as you can see:

It uses just one stamp, CI-388 Tiptoe through the Tulips. I used a wooden plaque that I found on sale in a discount store - I just painted over what was on it. I liked the scalloped edge. The tulips are just stamped on paper and cut out and coloured (think I used Gelatos). The background is stamped with the same stamp, but I just used the texty bit:

To finish it off, I stuck on some of the lovely filigree corners:

Very good value these and come in several finishes. You could also paint them or rub over with Treasure Gold to get the exact colour you want.

So, you've just got time to enter this month's Challenge - I'm in charge of next month's, but you'll just have to wait and see what theme I've chosen!

Time is running out....

for this month's Crafty Individuals blog Challenge 'Nature's Beauty'.
I made two projects for this, one a tag, using CI-378 A Royal Bird stamped onto fabric, painted and stitched:

Then I got the ribbons, the wool and the embellishments out:

I cut the top with a Tim Holtz On The Edge die 'Torn Notebook':

and liked the die cut waste so much, that I added it to the bottom:

I'll show you my second piece tomorrow!

Treasure Time...

I've got a class coming upon Saturday 3 May at The Craft Barn and we're going to be decorating these little treasure boxes:

They use the new Lynne Perrella stamps plus various techniques including Gelatos on wood, stamping on tissue paper, using Grunge Paste etc.
There are still a couple of places left, so if you fancy coming along for a fun day of crafting, just contact them at The Craft Barn, Tel: 0844 800 8551 or 01737 822961.

Extravaganza excitement....

Now, I know you might think it's a long way off, but for those of us demoing and taking classes, The Craft Barn Extravaganza is getting closer and closer!
I'm demoing on the Saturday and Sunday and also, for the very first time, taking a Master Class, which I'm very excited about. This is what we're going to be decorating:

I'm planning on using the latest Lynne Perrella stamps, Fresco paints, real copper metal and some chipboard pieces from Tando that Di's making up especially. This is a big project and going to be great fun as well as functional, so if you fancy coming along, my class is on the Friday 6th June.
When I've actually made the project, I'll post a (very) sneak peek.

Whoops! I'm late...

with my blog post for PaperArtsy! Here's a sneak peek of what I did this time with Darcy's stamps:

Don't fall off your chair - I've used muted colours! That was deliberate - I wanted to show how these stamps suit all styles, so get out your papers, brads and ribbons and have a go!

Craft barn Demo

Had a lovely time on Saturday demoing at the Craft Barn. Many thanks to all who came along and for putting up with all my chatter!
Here's some of the stuff I made using Darcy stamps and the gorgeous Marion Smith papers:

I've got a class on Saturday 19th using the Darcy stamps again - we're going to make a tag book and box:

It should be a fun day, so come along and join us if you fancy it.

Delectable Darcy Stamps...

I'm demoing with these on Saturday at The Craft Barn. I've tried to show how to create different looks using papers, Distress Stains and metal. Here's a sneak peek:

As you can see there's lots of different looks you can create. So, do come along and join me if you can.
You can also see Jane Gill and Carole Cockbain demoing as well so should be a good day.
