Fishies in the sea...

My fish aren't really fish at all but were made with the That's Crafty! Ginger Flower stencil which is proving very versatile! Couldn't resist some googly eyes!

The background's done with the Satin inks - they're really quick and easy - I just used a cut up sponge and went round and round.

This background is made by applying a thick layer of white paint and pressing the snail shell stamp into it. Then when dry I dipped the stamp into inks on a mat and pressed back into the impression. The orange ink dots tie in with the orange of the fish.

Satin inks...

I've used the That's Crafty! Satin inks to both stamp and colour here:

I covered my page with a thick layer of white paint and pressed the border stamp into it. When it was dry, I then stamped over the top into the impression with the inks:

On this side I blew the inks about a bit with a straw then stencilled over the top with this A4 stencil and stamped over the top of that. Afterwards, I used this new stencil to put in the flowers. Lots of doodling went on top.

Heart to heart...

On these two pages I tried dribbling and blowing the inks with a straw, then stamping over the top.

The text here uses the alphabet set. I liked the strong shapes in the border stamp.

I've stamped directly onto the page again with Versafine Clair black and then just heat set it.

Dreams...

Here are the next two pages of my Circle Journal from That's Crafty!:

Out of all the pages, this one caused me the most trouble! You know when things just keep going wrong and you have to paint over all the time? That was it. I used paste, paint, inks, spray - whatever I had, I threw at it, so I can certainly vouch that these journal pages will stand up to most things.

Here I've used the Ginger Flower stencil again, as a flower this time. Love how you can bend the tiny words to go round the edge. This stamp set is so useful.
