A little bit of Chocolate!

 I had to do something chocolatey for Easter so have made a tag book with the Stamperia papers. Once you’ve made the basic booklet and added background papers, it’s very easy to do – you can pretty much layer up whichever pics you like. I’ve added a bit of stencilling as well with the Prima Redesign Chalk Paste – not used this before but I really liked it.

A Card for Spring

 

We actually had a day of sunshine this week so I’ve made a card for Spring!

The background is by Stamperia, from the Atelier des Arts calendar which is at sale price – even though it’s for 2022, you still get the papers, so it seemed a good deal to me. I’ve used some of Marlene’s stamps and layered pattern onto pattern, which I do like doing just to see if I can get away with it!

It's today!!

 At 2pm and 6pm Samantha Jane Laing will be on HobbyMaker TV with lots of lovely stamp designs so I thought I'd show you some of my makes in full.

The tulip picture is made with MDF frame which I've stencilled for the background and then coloured the flowers with Satin Inks. 

The next sample is a steampunky doorhanger - I used some greyboard and MDF cogs on the wings and background.

The last round is coloured with Satin inks - really easy and quick drying. I was going for a night time feel with this one.

My Art...

A card this week - I wanted to see if I could create something reasonably colourful on kraft cardstock. Distress Oxides are good for this, so I stencilled a background first, going over it several times. I then stamped over that and also on another piece of card. I found the best way to get some colour on was with pencils. The text is stencilled onto gold card in black paste.

Be Creative…

I’m making a tag this week combining bright flowers with what was meant to be a snowy background – a bit quirky, but I really like it! The background is kraft card sprayed with Distress Oxides and then at some point I’ve used the tree masks – can’t remember when as I dug this out of my stash. The flowers and bird by Melina are painted with Satin Inks – I’d forgotten how much I love these – they mix and mingle and give a lovely glossy, quick drying finish.
