Ruffle Kerfuffle...

I had so much fun making this card for my friend's birthday. It doesn't actually use much stamping (just a background flourish and a border) - the main part is made up from patterned paper, of which I have vast amounts!
I started with the stitched pleat and then added layers of lace, ribbon, wire and raffia on top, all offset with brown card:


Then I wired up the central dangly bit as a focal point:

I love this effect - great way to use up a paper mountain!! Also of course the dangly bit could be used as a handbag charm so a gift and card in one.

This is lovely Helen, such an unusual idea. I love the colours, and the layers. The dangly bit is a fab idea, I have loads of odd beads hanging around, as I make jewellery, I'll have to remember to add bits on to my cards in future. Judith xx
