Goosey, Goosey, Gander...

This tag uses the Crafty Individuals Alice Palace stamp CI-380. It's delicately drawn and got great words as well.
I started off with a tag that I'd used to mop up extra paint from this Prima stencil:

Then I stamped the goose onto acetate and used Fresco paints to colour the back:

Then out came the Portfolios, also from PaperArtsy, to add colour round the edges:

I then stuck my goose down to stop it wandering off! and added some extra background stamping, some from this stamp and a few stars from the cupcakes stamp CI-374:

A touch of yellow for the stars:

And then the twiddly bits!

A right dog's dinner!

In more ways than one!
I had a little bit of spare time yesterday so pulled out a brightly coloured red and orange tag from my stash drawer and started playing around with Distress Stains, Prima papers, bottle tops and one of the new Crafty Individuals Alice Palace stamps.
It went from this:

to this:

His expression just tickled me! Not at all what I'd planned but great fun to make!

A bit of Eclectica

I've been working away on a few samples for the Craft Barn Demo on the 6th April (first demo in the new place at Priory Farm - very exciting) and I'm trying out Lin Brown's bold graphic Eclectica stamps from PaperArtsy.
These stamps are very versatile. I've gone for bright colours and glossy card like here:

Just the thing to cheer you up on a gloomy day like today.
I've also been experimenting with the Distress Markers and going for the watery effect:

My black pen ran as well which wasn't quite what I intended! Did wonder what an earth to do with the tag  as it looks a bit sorry for itself, but then I laid these two tulip heads on top:

A great improvement! They've been painted over with yellow Vitrail glass paint which produces a fantastic gloss effect.

Craft Barn Class with Crafty Individuals

A couple of weeks ago I had a class at the Craft Barn using canvases, Crafty Individuals stamps, dies and stencils.
Well, as per usual, I managed to forget my camera, but Kate and Claire sent me some pics of their finished pieces.
Here's Kate's:

and here's Claire's:

I love the way they've used their own colours - actually, I think their colours were better than mine!
Thanks for the pics and a great class.

My next class is on Saturday 13 April up at the newly moved Craft Barn at Priory Farm.
We're going to be making a bisque plaque, a coaster and a card. I've made up two different lots so you can choose if you want to make something for the ladies or the men. They'll both use PaperArtsy stamps. Here's a sneak peek:

If you've not stamped on bisque (unglazed pottery) before then come along and have a go. All details on how to book are here.

Week no. 3 at PaperArtsy

Yes, it's time for my third lot of posts over on the PaperArtsy blog - where have the weeks gone?
This time I've been experimenting with the Fresco paints - that stuff will stick to anything - I noticed my engagement ring's gone Limelight green!

I've tried it out on various surfaces - wood, metal, plastic - and with various techniques. Here's a couple of sneak peeks to whet your appetite - go on over to the PaperArtsy blog to see some more.
